Franklin County Family Court Judge Report Card

Judge George Leach | Judge Elizabeth Gill | Judge James Brown | Judge Douglas Nobles | Judge Lasheyl Stroud | Judge Kim A. Browne

Franklin County family court judges are elected, yet they almost always run unopposed (The Ohio Bar Association sees to this). Judges' campaign committees solicit massive funds from the very law firms that appear before them, creating a serious conflict of interest. These funds flow directly into the judges' pockets at the end of every election cycle.

Your reviews help families navigate this utterly corrupt system and expose these "public servants" running a billion-dollar industry that often prioritizes law firm profits over the protection of Ohio’s children.

Very strong on domestic violence issues. He took the time to ensure the civil protection order was handled correctly. He can be grumpy, but he gets the safety aspects right.

Very experienced judge. He knows domestic relations law better than most attorneys in the room. He can be short with you if you aren't prepared, so make sure your paperwork is in order.

Another unopposed judge who seems to have forgotten he works for the public. He was incredibly dismissive of my concerns regarding the GAL's lack of investigation. Typical "pay-to-play" vibes.

Gave way too much weight to a clearly biased GAL report. It felt like he didn't want to do the investigative work himself and just delegated the entire decision to an outside third party.

He was very impatient and interrupted my testimony several times. He seemed more concerned with clearing his docket than hearing the actual facts of our high-conflict case.
