Franklin County Family Court Judge Report Card

Judge George Leach | Judge Elizabeth Gill | Judge James Brown | Judge Douglas Nobles | Judge Lasheyl Stroud | Judge Kim A. Browne

Franklin County family court judges are elected, yet they almost always run unopposed (The Ohio Bar Association sees to this). Judges' campaign committees solicit massive funds from the very law firms that appear before them, creating a serious conflict of interest. These funds flow directly into the judges' pockets at the end of every election cycle.

Your reviews help families navigate this utterly corrupt system and expose these "public servants" running a billion-dollar industry that often prioritizes law firm profits over the protection of Ohio’s children.

Extremely biased toward the mother from the start. I provided proof of missed visitations and she completely ignored it, focusing instead on my work schedule. If you are a father, be prepared to fight uphill.

Very high legal IQ. She won re-election in 2024 for a reason—she knows the law inside and out. She won't let attorneys play games with discovery. No-nonsense courtroom.

Professional but distant. She relies very heavily on local rules and technicalities. If your lawyer misses a filing deadline, don't expect any mercy here.

Judge Gill is very no-nonsense. She saw right through my ex-husband's attempts to delay the trial and kept everything on track. She clearly prioritizes the child's stability.

Middle of the road. She follows the local rules strictly, which can be frustrating if you need flexibility, but at least you know what to expect. Her courtroom runs on time.
